—-Sorry about the quality—- On August 19th 2007, an oil tanker off the coast of Australia split in two, dumping 20000 tons of crude oil. Senator Collins, a member of the Australian Parliament, appeared on a TV news program to reassure the Australian public. This actual interview is so funny, you’d swear it was a ‘Saturday Night Live’ or ‘Monty Python’ skit! It just proves… Once a politician, always a politician

This is NOT an actual interview with a politician – it’s a comedy skit by Aussies Clark & Dawes, and it was done in 1991. Amazing that people thought this was real!! I mean, I know politicians say stupid things, but come on!! “The ship was towed beyond the environment” ???? LOL.
