  @luc59457 What you forgot to mention is it will take some amounts of oil to construct that Windmill, Electric vehicle, train, etc, but once it is constructed, it can continue to save on the demand of oil. The air quality will also be noticeably improved if done on a wide scale. For the many years it can function, and be maintained along the way, it will reduce the overall consumption total in the end. It will also save money to travel.

We have lots of oil left under the earth and constantly replenishing.Still no reason to increase the demand when we have alternatives thriving,to reduce that need.The B.P oil spill is a good lesson to reduce Demand.Reduce demand thus more focus on the aging of current rigs.A windmill cannot get the rice to costo?I think you need to stop drinking Cool-aid Michael.That windmill can supply electricity to an electric vehicle which can bring some rice there,especially by train

  Well theres a lot i dont like about Micheal Moore but at least in this interview hes dead on. Oil production has peaked. In part thats what all this “global warming” nonsense is about. Governments are trying to scare us into being more efficent and into developing alternatives and dont want to be honest. The other point is so that carbon credits can be the next economic bubble but other than that we are pretty much fucked when it comes to replacing oil
